Traditionally, marching bands performed, well, marches, but the college bands of today have taken the halftime show in a staunchly different direction. This past Saturday, October 17, the Michigan State Spartan Marching Band took the field at halftime to perform a medley of songs all affiliated with Marvel.

Two pieces from the movie scores of both Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers were performed, but some recognizable other pieces – including the classic Spider-Man theme music – also made an appearance. The drill formations also made some familiar faces and symbols. Check out the full performance below.
