it’s vast inventory of Golden, Silver and Bronze Age treasures at the National
Convention in New York City. “What makes doing this convention so special is
the fact that our showroom is located only 2 blocks from the convention. If
customers want a book we aren’t displaying at the Convention, we can have it
brought to the show within minutes, or the customer can visit our offices,” said
Vincent Zurzolo, owner of Metropolis Collectibles.
The Convention will be
held November 8th-10th at the Metropolitan Pavillion at 125 18th St. (Fri 1-8pm,
Sat 10-7pm and Sun 10-6pm). Metropolis will be set up not only to sell and buy
comics, but also to meet and greet all of their New York City customers and
invite them to visit their showroom. Metropolis Sales Executive, Ed Sanchez,
added, “While we are primarily a mail order company, I don’t think you can fully
grasp what Metropolis is about without a visit to our showroom. On display you
will find an array of many of the rarest movie posters in the world, including a
one-of-a-kind Frankenstein 6 sheet, original comic art like the covers to
Detective #28, House of Secrets #92 and Ghost Rider #1, and of
course, over 100,000 vintage comics – including Action Comics #1 and
Detective #27.”

theme park went through about four owners before it closed - and from the looks
of it, it may be getting ready for yet another one...

For more on the
