Heritage’s weekly auction highlights include the first appearance of M’Baku, a Tom Reilly Action Comics variant cover, and rare early video games. The Comic Books Select Auction ends on Sunday through Tuesday, August 31 to September 2, 2025, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction wraps on Tuesday, September 2, and the Comic Art & Illustration Auction closes on Wednesday, September 3.

In the comic auction, Heritage is offering The Avengers #62 CGC 9.6 with the debut of M’Baku, one of Black Panther’s major foes. Batman #457 newsstand edition CGC 9.8 has the first full appearance of Tim Drake in costume as the new Robin (following Jason Todd’s death).

The original art auction is led by Tom Reilly’s Action Comics #1063 Superman variant cover that captures the hero hovering over Metropolis with the Daily Planet building behind him. Declan Shalvey’s U.S.Agent #1 variant cover spotlights sometime hero/sometime antagonist John Walker running toward the action.

The video game auction features the side-scrolling shooter Subterranea CGC 9.6 CIB for Atari 2600, which is one of the harder to find games in Imagic’s silver box lineup. Space Panic CGC 9.4 glue seal for ColecoVision is a translation of Universal’s 1980 arcade classic; it is one of just two graded by CGC.
