Matt Kindt’s Mind MGMT & Fort Psycho Get Physical-First Releases
Mind MGMT: New & Improved and Fort Psycho, two new series from creator Matt Kindt’s Flux House imprint, will begin with extended periods of physical-only releases before the digital copies become available. Debuting in June and August 2026, the first four issues of each series will be available only in physical form for the first 30 days. Each of the Oni Press series will also contain print-only upgrades.
Mind MGMT: New & Improved #1, described by Oni as a “self-contained entry point” into the series, will feature a specialty die-cut cover. The book written, drawn, colored, and designed by Kindt will come with a “blind bag” of 15 exclusive, chase, or rare variant covers by Jenna Cha (The Sickness), Jeff Lemire (Sweet Tooth), Jesse Lonergan (Drome), Fábio Moon (Archie), David Rubin (Black Hammer), Scott Suguichi (Estrus: Shovelin’ the @#$% Since ’97), and J.H. Williams III (Promethea).
Fort Psycho #1 kicks off a 12-issue series by co-creators Kindt and Brian Hurtt (The Sixth Gun) about “super-spy betrayal and subversion,” per Oni’s description. All 12 issues feature panton-keyed covers on 10 pt. cardstock with an ad-free format and a lot of back matter. The first issue features cover A by Brian Hurtt, cover B by Lewis Larosa, and a black and white variant by Larosa.
“For every fan, the experience of reading and loving comics starts at a comic shops, and, with Flux House preparing to debut two of the summer’s most immersive reading experiences at Oni Press, we want to do everything we can to support Mind MGMT: New & Improved and Fort Psycho on store shelves throughout the coming summer and fall,” Oni Press President & Publisher Hunter Gorinson said.
