MastroNet didn’t even pause for a sandwich. They went straight to work on their
next auction. The bidding is scheduled to start on March 28, and collectors of
Americana and Sports are already flocking to the website to see what MastroNet
has assembled.
For many, the most amazing part will be the over 300 Sport
and Non-Sport Bobbing Head dolls. There is a collection of Black players from
1963 – 1965 that is amazing. Produced in very small numbers, the collection is
very rare and hard to find. There are a total of 13 bobble-heads in this
collection and it features African-Americans from the Baltimore Orioles,
Washington Senators Boston Red Sox, and others. There are actually two types of
faces contained in the set. One is called the regular face, the second is
considered realistic face.
This auction is by no means limited to sports.
The Americana section includes a check collection from 34 different Presidents.
It starts with George Washington and ends with Ronald Reagan. There is a land
grant from Benjamin Franklin, a Naval proclamation form the War of 1812 signed
by James Monroe and many other historical documents.
The Rock N Roll part
of this auction may attract some considerable media attention. MastroNet is
offering the very first signed contract between a young Elvis Presley and
Colonel Tom Parker. There is also a racquetball shirt worn by the King.
MastroNet always puts together an auction that excites collectors and
fans and even academic historians. For complete details and a look at the items
