With spring cleaning around the corner it’s important to know what should be kept and how much it’s worth. Beginning this March, instead of paying top dollar to find the monetary value of your childhood toys, family heirlooms, or recent bequeathments, go to Mastro Auctions.

Among the leading international sports and Americana collectibles auctioneer, Mastro will open their doors every second Monday of each month for free consignment opportunities and value assessments. The new service will kick off Monday, March 10, 2008 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Mastro’s suburban Chicago office located at 7900 South Madison Street in Burr Ridge, Illinois. Individuals can come in on Consignment Monday during the three hour block for evaluations by Mastro Auctions best appraisers, including sports and pop culture expert and Mastro Auctions’ Collectibles Chicago ESPN radio show Brian Marren, and well known Antiques Roadshow appraiser Nicholas Dawes. “We welcome anyone who has anything they are curious about to come see us,” Marren invited. “Mastro Auctions has the expertise and resources to help individuals unlock the mystery of their personal heirlooms and treasures.”

Appraisals will be limited to two items per person. It has been recommended that people do not bring gemstone jewelry, furniture, stamps, or larger items, but rather photographs of the items. For directions and additional details call 630-472-1200.
