Master Chief Suits Up in First Halo Teaser Trailer
Paramount+ has dropped the first teaser trailer for the live-action Halo series. The brief 30-second trailer shows the deeply scarred back of Master Chief before showing him in his full costume.
The Halo video game franchise has become one of the most influential first-person shooters in video game history, known for innovative game mechanics and complex plots which prove that a fun action game can be just as epic and story driven as a good roleplaying game.
“The biggest challenge with adapting the game is, the game is designed to put you into [Master] Chief’s armor,” executive producer Kiki Wolfkill said. “What we’re asking people to do with the show is to sit back and say we’re going to present a side of Chief that you just don’t get to play in the game. For the television series, we want to be able to do something new in Halo, and we want people to be able to experience it differently.”
The Halo series was originally in development at Showtime before moving to the Paramount+ streaming service. The show is set to premiere in the first quarter of 2022.
Pablo Schrieber is stepping into the role of Master Chief with Natascha McElhone as Dr. Catherine Halsey, Yerin Ha as Quan Ah, Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066, Jen Taylor as Cortana, Shabana Azmi as Admiral Margaret Paragosky, Olive Gray as Dr. Miranda Keyes, Charlie Murphy as Makee, Kate Kennedy as Kai-125, Bentley Kalu as Vannak-134, Natasha Culzac as Riz-028, Danny Sapani as Captain Jacob Keyes, and Ryan McParland as Adun.
