Marvel Keys and More in Hake’s Premier Auction
Hake’s Auction #234 is coming to a close next week on March 15-16, 2022, but there’s still plenty of time to bid on 1,986 lots of pop culture and historical memorabilia. This premier event offers a large selection of comic books, covering everything from Golden Age favorites to more modern titles. There are keys, popular books, and something for collectors at any budget.
Hake’s is selling a selection of Famous Funnies issues, including Famous Funnies #212 CGC 8.0, #213 CGC 8.0, #214 CGC 8.0, and #215 CGC 7.5, all of which are classic Buck Rogers comics. Each comic also features covers by Frank Frazetta and hail from the Gene Seger Buck Rogers Collection.
Top Silver and Bronze Age Marvel books are Amazing Spider-Man #194 CGC 9.8 (origin and first appearance of Black Cat/Felicia Hardy) with an Al Migrom cover; X-Men #1 CGC 2.5 (origin and debut of Professor X, Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel, Beast, and Magneto) with a Stan Lee story and Jack Kirby cover and art; Giant-Size X-Men #1 CGC 8.5 (first appearances of Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, and Thunderbird) with a Len Wein story; and Incredible Hulk #181 CGC 6.5 (Wolverine’s first full appearance) with a Herb Trimpe cover and art.
Golden Age keys include Captain Marvel Adventures #18 CGC 3.0 (first appearance of Mary Marvel and the Marvel Family) with a C.C.
