Marvel Announces Zodiac Series, New Marvel Zombies
Marvel had a busy weekend at New York Comic Con revealing new ongoing comics, miniseries, and one-shots. Marvel Television and Marvel Animation were just as busy by announcing new shows and updates on returning series.
The Marvel TV panel was hosted by Brandon David with Marvel Head of Television, Animation, Comics & Franchise Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Editor in Chief Stephen Wacker, and several stars from the shows.

They announced the official title and logo for the new series, Zodiac. The series was described as a “spy thriller” and it will debut on Disney+ in 2028. Little else was revealed, though they did state that the show began filming last spring.
Marvel Zombies is back with three two-part event series. First up is Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier, which arrives at Halloween time in 2027. Marvel Zombies: The Fist of Khonshu is scheduled for some time in 2028, then Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian follows in 2029.
Winderbaum did not disclose the identity of the Last Guardian, but described it as “every exciting.” He also teased that there will be loads of zombie gore, “We’re about halfway through animatics, and it is a blood-splattering good time, but it’s also quite beautiful.”

Attendees at the panel saw the first look at X-Men ’97 season three, which teased the return of the Brotherhood of Mutants, and Rogue and Gambit’s wedding. Season three will premiere in 2027 and a fourth season has already been confirmed.
The crowd also saw footage from Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season two, including a look at the black symbiote suit. The show returns to Disney+ on January 13, 2027.
“In season one, we got to see Peter start out as Spider-Man,” series creator Jeff Trammell said during the panel. “He’s learning, he’s growing, he’s got a man in a chair, he’s got a mentor. None of that for season two. In season two, he’s ready to go, and he’s got big threats. He might need a little help. And, you know, sometimes that help comes in the form of inky black goo from space.”

Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox took the stage, and he was joined by former Defenders cast members Krysten Ritter and Finn Jones. The three of them stated that Mike Colter couldn’t make it because of a scheduling conflict, indicating that all of the Defenders will be back together. They showed footage from the third and final season of Daredevil: Born Again, that will debut in 2027.
The panel also included an appearance by the cast of VisionQuest including Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, and Emily Hampshire, with showrunner Terry Matalas. They talked about Vision’s journey and his messy relationship with Ultron. VisionQuest debuted on October 14 on Disney+.
