On the heels of Marvel’s announcements of Civil War, Secret Wars, Planet Hulk and other classic storylines, Armor Wars is now being teased for the same timeframe of “Summer 2015.” Much like these other storylines, no specific details have been announced; so far there is only a teaser image.

The original Armor Wars (also known as Stark Wars) storyline took place over the course of seven issues between December 1987 and June 1988. It was written by David Michelinie and Bob Layton and saw Iron Man taking on various other armored characters including Doctor Doom, Shockwave, among others – who were suspected of stealing Tony Stark’s designs. The storyline has been adapted for various animated series before, and elements of it were used in the Iron Man 2 film.
