Marshall Dillon’s 60-mile Walk for Cancer Research
We’re pleased to report Marshall Dillon, who has lettered comic books for numerous publishers including Boom! Studios, Dark Horse, Gemstone Publishing, Moonstone Books and others over the past few years, is going to participate in this year’s “Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure” cancer walk.
“I’ll walk 60 miles over the course of three days with thousands of other men and women,” Dillon said. Net proceeds from the event are invested in cancer research and community programs.
“I’ve agreed to raise at least $2,300 in donations,” he said. To achieve this goal, he’ll have to walk the full distance in three days. He’ll also have to train to get ready for the event.
To do that, he needs assistance. Those interested can give online at The3Day.org.
“Just follow the link below to visit my personal fundraising page and make a donation. You can also call (800) 996-3DAY to donate over the phone, or you can visit my Facebook wall and donate there,” he said.
Dillon’s mother has spent the last year battling cancer and is currently in remission.
“I have seen the ugly side of cancer and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. That is why I’m walking,” he said. “I hope that you’ll share this incredible adventure with me – by supporting me in my fundraising efforts. Please help me fight cancer so that no one else has to see their mothers and fathers go through this terrible disease.”
