Class is back in session at Godolkin University and the school year is already off to a rocky start. Prime Video released a new trailer for Gen V season two, introducing the new dean, Marie’s return to the school, and The Boys character Starlight joining the series.

The trailer starts with Marie (Jaz Sinclair) being attacked, then saved by Starlight (Erin Moriarity) who wants her to return to Godolkin University. There, new dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater) claims that the school has become a “monument to mediocrity” and it’s revealed that before coming to the school, he was at Elmira. Vought is continuing their Project Odessa research program and Starlight asks Marie to join her in stopping it.

Marie seeks help from Jordon (Derek Luh and London Thor) and Emma (Lizze Broadway), as Cipher’s behavior becomes more intense. He reveals that he believes Marie could become more powerful than Homelander, which is teased as she exhibits the lengths of her abilities. The group look for ways to stop Cipher and Project Odessa, while Andre’s dad, Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas) seeks answers about his son’s death.

Season two also stars Maddie Phillips, Asa Germann, Alexander Calvert, and Ethan Slater. Michele Fazekas serves as showrunner and executive producer, The Boys TV series creator Eric Kripke, and The Boys comic creators Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson are also executive producers.

Gen V will debut the first three episodes of season two on September 17, then one new episode will premiere on Prime Video each week. The season finale will drop on October 22.

The season two trailer contains adult language and violence. It can be viewed on YouTube.
