Magnetic Press is bringing a slate of international graphic novels to English-speaking audiences in 2027. Oni Press and Magnetic have announced the titles that include Mister Invincible Redux by French cartoonist Pascal Jousselin, Loba Loca by Guillaume “Run” Renard and Guillaume Singelin, Wahcommo: Kaya by Luis NCT, A Scoundrel in the New World by Juanjo Guarnido and Alain Ayrole, Tunnels by Michaёl Sanlavaille, Peter Pan of Kensington by José Luis Munuera, Ter by Christophe Dubois, and Astrogamma by LRNZ.

“This Spring slate is packed with excellence in not only sequential storytelling, but outside-the-box storytelling as well,” Magnetic Press Director of Publishing Mike Kennedy said. “As diverse as these settings, characters, and titles may be from each other, they all share the distinction of being at the top of their respective categories. Mister Invincible Redux is a story about a superhero whose special power is manipulating comic book pages. He moves between panels, stretches into the gutters, and manipulates the layout for his own battles, Mixing slapstick humor and formatting tricks, it’s a hardcover book that will be in stores on January 26, 2027.

In Loba Loca, Guadalupe “Guada” Mayflower is a teenager under house arrest following a social scandal who learns about a family connection to Diablo, an infamous luchador. Guada ends up on a road trip guided by a wrestler named Tigre to learn about family secrets, media exploitation, and a legacy of violence. The softcover book is due out on February 9.

Wahcommo: Kaya is the sequel to Wahcommo, continuing Kaya’s story about defying her tribe’s patriarchal rules to become a Seeker. The young warrior returns home with the treasures of the North where her success is met by political and social consequences. The high-fantasy adventure story is in hardcover format and will be released on March 30.

A Scoundrel in the New World is an unofficial sequel to the 17th century Spanish novel, The Swindler (El Buscón) by Francisco de Quevedo. Don Pablos of Segovia is a low born scoundrel who goes to the Spanish West Indies in the hope of turning his luck around. He tells his story to authorities in Cusco about escaping his difficult past to his journeys into the Americas, the Andes, and the Amazon. The hardcover book will be in stores on March 30.

Tunnels joins a family road trip that goes from a standard summer vacation to a nightmare when they drive through a series of tunnels that expels them into a landscape of horror. The family station wagon ends up in high speed chases with drivers in futuristic cars hot on their tails. The psychological thriller done in a cinematic art style will be available in softcover format and drives to stores on April 20.

Peter Pan of Kensington serves as a prequel adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s tale about the boy who never grew up. It starts when 6-year-old Maimie Mannering is trapped in the gardens after they’ve been locked up for the night and witnesses it transforming into a magical world with fairies and talking animals. She is saved by Peter Pan, who tries to convince her to stay in the imaginary island, but she desperately wants to return to her mom. The hardcover book arrives on $24.99.

Ter opens on the planet Ter where the primitive people live in the ruins of strange, ancient technology. A stranger named Mandor is discovered in a tomb who reveals his ability to fix complex objects, becoming a messianic figure in the process. The trilogy follows Mandor on his quest to learn where he came from, revealing that Ter is actually a decaying space ship and the people are descendants of space travelers. The omnibus edition collects the entire trilogy in one hardcover volume that is scheduled for release on May 4.

Astrogamma is set during a biological and metaphysical crisis that brings three characters together when the sentai entity Astrogamma appears. Giant insectoid creatures and strange things start to destroy the city in a survival horror tale about the end of humanity. The softcover will be in stores on June 8.
