Lola Bunny is a Looney Tunes character who has been a competitive basketball player and quirky oddball across different films and TV shows. She was introduced in Space Jam, the 1996 live-action/animation hybrid film in which the Looney Tunes sought Michael Jordan’s help in a very important basketball game. Lola was created by Space Jam writers Leo Benvenuti, Steve Rudnick, Timothy Harris, and Herschel Weingrod, and has been primarily voiced by Kath Soucie.

Lola has tan fur, blonde bangs, blue eyes, usually wears a crop top, her ears are gathered in a ponytail, and she wears white gloves. The character was introduced as a love interest for Bugs Bunny, and the pair had quite the first meeting. While Bugs and Michael Jordan watch their potential basketball teammates floundering on the court, Lola struts into the gym to tryout. Bugs calls her “doll” annoying the athletic hare, and she quickly bests him in a one on one match up. Later, she returns Bugs’ affection when he saves her from nearly being injured by one of their giant opponents.

In Space Jam, Lola was portrayed as mixture of tomboy and femme fatale. She was tough, competitive, and independent, but also shown as feminine and attraction – not just to Bugs, but to most of the boys on the team.

She returned in The Looney Tunes Show, voiced by Kristen Wiig, but that version of Lola’s personality is quite different. She is scatterbrained and eccentric, and ends up in silly situations of her own making. Quite smitten with Bugs, she affectionally refers to him as “Bun Bun” and the pair even go out on a few dates.

Lola popped up as new reporter in Tweety’s High-Flying Aventure and the Looney Tunes Racing and Looney Tunes: Space Race games. She was in the New Looney Tunes show, returning to her more serious original personality, though friendlier this time around. Zendaya voiced Lola in Space Jam: A New Legacy, which sees LeBron James recruiting the Looney Tunes to play in a virtual game against rogue AI.
