Entertainment Tonight correspondent and author of the definitive
cinematic guide, the yearly Leonard Maltin’s Movie and Video Guide. This
week marked the launch of his new website, www.leonardmaltin.com, and his
newsletter, “Leonard Maltin’s Movie Crazy.” The newsletter is a quarterly
16-page journal for people who love old movies, as Leonard does. The first
issue covers animation – with a pictorial tribute to the extraordinary
illustrator James Montgomery Flagg. Featured are three examples of artwork he
did on commission from movie studios, from the teens through the 1930s.
Some of Maltin’s other works include Of Mice and Magic: A History of
American Animated Cartoons, The Little Rascals: The Life and Times of Our Gang,
The Disney Films, and The Great American Broadcast.
