Leonard Maltin’s 2014 Movie Guide: The Modern Era is now on sale, and it remains an indispensable aide for film enthusiasts. This year’s edition includes 300 new entries covering key releases of the past year, as well as listings for a number of spaghetti westerns of the ’60s and ’70s not previously included. There’s not a ton to say about such a key reference book that hasn’t changed that much since the last one, except that there’s a really good reason we call it “indispensable.”
