Last Weekend for ComicLink’s January Auction
This is the last weekend to bid in the ComicLink January Focused Auction, which offers a selection of over 4,000 no-reserve Golden Age, Silver Age, and Bronze Age to modern comic book lots and original comic art.
“Like all of the ComicLink Focused Auctions, this auction is divided into four sessions, each focusing on a specific type of material,” said ComicLink Consignment Director Douglas Gillock.
“Session #1 showcases over 1,800 select, key and high-grade Silver and Bronze Age comic books graded by CGC and ends Tuesday, January 22, from 7:30 PM to 12:00 AM ET (titles A through G.I. Combat) and Wednesday, January 23, from 7:30 PM to 12:00 AM ET (titles Green Lantern through Z),” he said.
“Session #2, which showcases nearly 600 Golden Age comics, also primarily certified by CGC, but also including comics graded by the ComicLink staff, ends on Thursday, January 24, from 7:30 PM ET through 10:15 PM ET,” he said.
“Session #3 includes nearly 900 post-1975 CGC-graded comic books and closes on Thursday, January 24, from 10:20 PM to 12:00 AM ET (titles A through C) and Friday, January 25, from 7:30 PM to 9:40 PM ET (titles D through Z). Session #4 is an assortment of over 600 other, assorted individually graded comic books, interesting comic book group lots and original artwork, and closes on Friday, January 25, from 9:45 to 12:20 AM ET.”
The January Focused Auction is ComicLink’s first auction of 2013 and it is among the largest Focused Auctions the company has ever had, Gillock said.
“From Silver and Bronze Age keys and high grades, to a large selection of Golden Age goodies, to CGC graded Copper and Moderns and a selection of original comic art, this auction is going to include something for virtually every collecting focus,” he said.
“Session 1 is by far the largest segment of this auction and it is loaded with high grade and Key Silver and Bronze Age CGC-graded comics,” he said.
