The coolest car ever to grace the small screen is back in a two hour Knight Rider movie event. Based on the hit 1980s television show, the movie premieres Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 9:00 PM on NBC after the season finale of American Gladiators.

The sequel to the original series brings back the best of the show with impressive technological advancements. The new KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand) has a super-computer with uncharted hacking ability, state-of-the-art weapons system, and a body with shape and color shifting capabilities. Sarah Graiman, a 24-year-old working on her Ph.D is following the path of her brilliant father, Charles Davison. When a group of men attempt to kidnap her, she gets a message from KITT that her father is in serious danger. Sarah and KITT find her childhood friend, Mike Tracer, a 23-year-old ex-Army Ranger who reluctantly agrees to help find out who is trying to steal KITT and find Charles.

Knight Rider was directed by Steve Shill, written by David Andron, with executive producers Dave Bartis and Doug Liman. It stars Justin Bruening of All My Children, Sydney Tamiia Poitier of Grindhouse, and Deanna Russo of The Young and the Restless, with a special appearance by David Hasselhoff reprising his role as Michael Knight, and the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR as KITT.
