King Features was celebrated by CBS Sunday Morning in recognition of the company’s 100th anniversary on the November 15, 2015 episode. The story focused on the company’s history and the impact of the characters they carry.

“To this day people know Dennis the Menace,” King Features Syndicate editor Brendan Burford said. “I mean, you might have a child and describe him as a Dennis. I think that comics gave people a way to talk about who they are, or talk or compare themselves to someone.”

Over the years, King Features has syndicated more than 100 comic strips, and they currently have about 65 strips in syndication. Classic titles under their line also include Popeye and The Katzenjammer Kids. The full segment can be viewed online.
