The Kids Comic Con (KCC) Road Show will be attending two more shows before 2015 closes. First, they’ll be at the New Jersey Comic Expo on November 21-22, 2015 and second, the Northeast Comic Con on December 5-6.

They’ll participate in several panels and events at Northeast Comic Con. On Saturday, November 21, Alex Simmons’ Art of Making Comics will explore the genres of comics as well as the different formats. It’ll be held at 11 AM in the Heroes Lair.

Also on Saturday is the Careers in the Creative Arts panel. Comics pros, including Simmons (Archie, Batman), Paul Castiglia (Sonic, Ninja Turtles), and others will offer guidance to children interested in pursuing careers in comics. It’ll be held at 4:30 PM in the Heroes Lair.

Sunday’s events start with Alex Simmons’ Sci-Tech Heroes, the hands-on workshop where he’ll demonstrate how to explore and create characters through science and imagination. It will be held at 11 AM in the Hall of Just Us.

The second KCC event of the day will be Creating Those Kids from Riverdale with Alex Simmons. He’ll be joined by Castiglia and others to dive into the world of Archie and the gang. It will be held at 1 PM in the Hall of Just Us.

Then, the KCC Road Show will held north to the Northeast Comic Con in Wilmington, Massachusetts. Simmons will be there, along with Noel MacNeal (puppeteer Sesame Street), Ray Felix (Bronx Heroes), and Mike Lopez (Life’s a Beach).

Two events will be held on Saturday, December 5. First, is a cartooning workshop with Gary Eckerson (co-creator Life’s a Beach), Lopez, MacNeal, and Bill Diamond. They’ll focus on the puppetry of Jim Henson. It’ll be held at 12 PM.

The second cartooning workshop will feature Eckerson discussing careers in the creative arts. He’ll be joined by Simmons, MacNeal, and Gary Sohmers. It’ll be held at 3 PM.

Then on Sunday, Alex Simmons’ Sci-Tech Heroes will be at 11 AM, create your own hero with Ray Felix (creator Bronx Heroes) at 12 PM, and finally MacNeal will host a puppetry workshop at 1 PM.

“KCC’s primary goal is to promote reading, creativity, and exploration in kids’ lives. Since 2007 our annual Kids Comic Con event has introduced thousands of kids and families to the power of imagination and creativity,” Simmons said. “Our road shows have traveled throughout the United States, to Africa, and through the barrier-breaking power of the internet, India! Now more than ever it is imperative that young people embrace a continuous flow of positive ideas, skills and outlets for their thinking as well as self-esteem.”
