Keanu Reeves is making his comic book writing debut with Brzrkr, a 12-issue limited series at BOOM! Studios. Matt Kindt (Folklords) is co-writing the book, with art by Alessandro Vitti (Secret Warriors), colors by Bill Crabtree (BRPD), and letters by Clem Robins (Hellboy). Brzrkr #1, the brutally violent new series about an immortal warrior’s fight through the ages, will be available in October 2020.

Berzerker is half-mortal and half-God, cursed and attracted to violence even if it means sacrificing his sanity. After centuries of roaming the Earth, Berzerker starts working for the US government on missions too violent or dangerous for anyone else. In exchange, he will be told the truth about his blood soaked existence and how to end it.

“I have loved comics since I was a young kid and they have been a significant influence on me artistically,” Reeves said. “To have the chance to create Brzrkr and collaborate with legends in the industry like writer Matt Kindt, artist Alessandro Vitti, color artist Bill Crabtree, letterer Clem Robins, and conceptual/cover artist Rafael Grampá – along with the great folks at BOOM! Studios – is a dream come true.”

Brzrkr #1 comes with a main cover by Rafael Grampá (Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child), as well as variant cover art by Vitti and artist Mark Brooks (Star Wars: Han Solo). Fans who view the BOOM!
