Judge Dredd vs. Judge Death Statue
By the early 22nd century, the cities have expanded to enormous proportions because wars have left large parts of the globe uninhabitable. Mega-City One, with a population of 700 million, encompasses the entire East Coast of the United States, from Boston to Atlanta. Due to the expanse of the Mega-Cities and the size of their populations, it became necessary to restructure and streamline the criminal justice system. The Mega-City Judges are genetically selected and trained from birth to become the living embodiment of The Law. Serving as arresting officer, judge, jury, and (if necessary) executioner, the Judges enforce The Law throughout the Mega-Cities.
With adventures appearing in Great Britain’s weekly 2000 AD magazine since 1977, the greatest of all Judges to patrol the streets and skies of Mega-City One is Judge Dredd. Created by editor Pat Mills, writer John Wagner, and artist Carlos Ezquerra, Dredd has served at the forefront, as the world has been wracked with planet-wide catastrophes, alien invasions, robot rebellions, mutant uprisings, and other cataclysmic events.
The Judge Dredd vs. Judge Death Statue presents the stoic lawman locked in battle with his most insidious foe, the extra-dimensional wraith known as Judge Death. A hideous caricature of Earth’s Judges, Judge Death has deemed that all life is a crime, and has dedicated his existence to punishing the perpetrators. Inspired by the artwork of Judge Dredd cover artist Greg Staples, the Judge Dredd vs. Judge Death Statue is produced by First 4 Figures, and distributed in the U.S. through Dark Horse. It measures 11.5 inches tall, and is available in a limited edition of 1,000 pieces worldwide.
