A copy of Journey into Mystery #83 CGC-certified 7.5 with white pages sold on eBay for $9,996.50 after 22 bids. The Silver Age Marvel Comic was written by Stan Lee, with a cover by Jack Kirby, and art by Kirby and Steve Ditko. It includes the origin and first appearance of Thor.

Journey into Mystery features stories about monsters, horror, and science fiction. It originally ran in the 1950s, then a second series produced nineteen issues in the 1970s. Thor dropped out of the series in issue #503 of his series and the title returned to Journey into Mystery rotating different characters before ending with issue #521.
