Marvel’s Iron Man 2 might not debut at theaters until May 7, 2010, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t get a whole bunch of different armor designs for the blockbuster character. Marvel seems more than happy enough to provide alternate takes on the character courtesy of their “Iron Man By Design” series of variant covers. The publisher has just announced a new slate of them.

“Everyone’s clamoring for more of the ‘Iron Man By Design’ variant covers and I’m glad to unveil more of them today” Marvel’s David Gabriel, Senior Vice-President of Sales & Circulation, said in a press release.

On sale in April 2010, the “Iron Man By Design” variant covers include Deadpool: Merc With A Mouth #10 Iron Man By Design variant by Christian Nauck (on sale 4/21/10), Nova #36 Iron Man By Design variant by John Tyler Christopher

(4/21/10), Guardians Of The Galaxy #25 Iron Man By Design variant by Skottie Young (4/21/10), X-Factor #204 Iron Man By Design variant by Frederic Genet (4/21/10), and Deadpool #22 Iron Man By Design variant by Marko Djurdjevic (4/28/10).
