In Memoriam: Jonathan Harris

bumbling, yet thoroughly charming Dr. Zachary Smith on television’s sci-fi
classic Lost in Space, has died at the age of 87. Mr. Harris died in Los
Angeles on November 4, from a blood clot in his heart.
In addition to
his hilarious improvisations and scathing “Smithisms” on Lost in Space,
Mr. Harris supplied the voices for Manny the Praying Mantis in A Bug’s Life
and the repairman doll in Toy Story 2.
