At New York Comic Con, Image Comics announced a reprint program for their popular title, D’Orc, and the reunion of Paper Girls creators Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang.

D’Orc is getting a glow up. The first complete story arc by Brett Bean (I Hate Fairyland) is back in print with a line of glow in the dark variant covers. Image Comics announced the reprint initiative during the New York Comic Con retailer event.

“Armed with nothing but a wisecracking enchanted shield and a crippling need for friendship, D’orc follows a lonely orphan who stumbles headfirst into Sunderaine’s never-ending war. Light vs. Dark. Elves vs. Orcs. Wizards vs. Common Sense. Dragons vs. Literally Everyone. And caught dead-center? D’orc. Half dwarf, half orc, and wholly inconvenient to a doomsday prophecy, D’orc is destined to end the world. Soon, every human, elf, goblin, dwarf, Snargletooth, Necroid, Ice Giant, Trauma Llama, and at least three other unpronounceable magical creatures will know his name. Unfortunately, so will his enemies,” per the synopsis.

The Glow in the D’orc reprint variants appear on all five issues of the first arc. They will be in comic shops on November 25, 2026.

Vaughan (Saga) and Chiang (Catwoman: Lonely City) are reuniting for Roam, their first ongoing series in over ten years. The pair appeared in a panel at New York Comic Con to discuss the comic that is set to launch in February 2027. The comic explores the journey to adulthood and how we search for the friends who will become like family.

“Cliff has already drawn the first several issues of Roam, and I can’t wait for readers to see this breathtakingly original world he and our gifted collaborators Matt Wilson and Jared Fletcher helped create,” Vaughan said. “Thanks so much to the readers and retailers out here who are up for exploring something new with us!”

“There’s no bigger thrill than breathing life into new worlds with your friends, that electric feeling of collaboration,” Chiang said. “Roam is unlike anything Brian and I have done before, but inspired by our love for comics as a medium. It’s been a joy to reunite with our trusted teammates Matt and Jared, and I’m incredibly grateful to Image Comics for continuing the creative partnership and exploration that began with Paper Girls. It’s going to be a wild ride!”

Roam #1 will debut on February 24, 2027, with a 50-page first issue.
