Hero Initiative, the charity dedicated to helping older comic creators in times of medical and financial need has a splashing good opportunity for comic book fans. They are bringing a dunk tank to the Orlando MegaCon on Saturday, March 8, 2008. Not only can fans dunk their favorite creators, they can win prizes for doing it!  

First for the soaking is none other than Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Joe Quesada. “Yes, I’m getting in the dunk tank. You hear me right, fanman!” Quesada announced. “So you didn’t like the death of Captain America? How ‘bout the Spider-marriage? Can you say ‘Disassembled’? Dead is dead? No smoking in Marvel Comics? Sure, you can snipe online. But can you snipe in person? Can you handle the pressure?”

The top two bidders in the eBay auction will be given five chances to dunk Quesada. If he goes swimming than they’ll win autographed copies of Fantastic Four #554. Quesada continued his jocularity by saying, “I dare you. Try to dunk me…I’ll be the driest guy in Orlando by the time you’re done sweating. I unmarried Peter Parker and Mary Jane! I can do anything! BWAHAHAHAHA!” Fans can pay $10 for three throws and can win awesome prizes, such as T-shirts, books, and Coliseum of Comics exclusive copies of Fantastic Four #554.
