Heritage’s US Coins Auction Closes October 8-13
Heritage’s New York Invitation US Coins Signature Auction has featured an incredible variety of coins, but interested parties are advised to get in soon, as bidding ends on October 13, 2014. Six of Heritage’s Signature Sessions will take place between October 8 and October 13; these include four floor sessions and two internet sessions.
Amongst the countless coins in this auction is an 1867 $10 PR64 Cameo, which had only a 50-proof mintage. According to Heritage’s description, most estimates suggest that no more than a dozen examples are left in any grade. Also included is a 1796 B-2 Quarter, MS63, this year’s coin is significant because it was the first time that the Mint was able to produce all coinage denominations as authorized by the Mint act of 1792. This particular quarter’s mintage of 6,146 pieces.
