
Heritage Weekly Auctions: X-Factor Art, Willow NES Game
A rare Battle Report #2 comic, an X-Factor page with Quicksilver and Lockjaw, and a Willow NES high grade copy are highlights in Heritage’s weekly auctions. The Comic Books Select Auction closes on Sunday through Tuesday, May 18-20, 2025, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction wraps up on Tuesday, May 20, and the Comic Art & Illustration Auction ends on Wednesday, May 21.
Heritage is offering the rare Battle Report #2 CGC 6.0, which is the highest graded copy and the first one that the auction house has sold in 11 years. The Amazing Spider-Man #299 CGC 9.8 is a key issue with Venom’s debut on the final page, the introduction of the Life Foundation, and a Todd McFarlane cover.
The original art auction contains Larry Stroman and Al Milgrom’s X-Factor #71 story page 9 with Quicksilver’s debut in the new X-Factor and his first time as a member of an X-Team, plus an appearance by Lockjaw. Carmine Infantino and Alfredo Alcala’s Swamp Thing t-shirt design illustration features the monster emerging from the bayou.
The video game auction kicks off with Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine WATA 9.4 sealed for Game Boy Color, which is a portable adaptation of the N64 and PC action-adventure game. The high grade video game adaptation of Willow CGC 9.8 sealed for NES was developed by Akira Kitamura (creator of Mega Man) and comes from the Joyner Collection.
