The comic book auction has highlights aplenty like the debut of Wolverine’s first solo series in Wolverine #1 CGC 9.8. Lilith’s introduction and her origin story is told in Giant-Size Chillers #1 CGC 9.8 and Mystique’s first full appearance is in Ms. Marvel #18 CGC 9.8. Uncle Scrooge gets his first cover appearance and first solo story in Four Color #386 CGC 9.2 and Joker steals Batman’s spotlight for the cover of Batman #37 CGC 7.5.

The comic art auction starts with a pair of newlyweds. Al Milgrom and Joe Sinnott’s The Avengers #239 splash page 1 shows Hawkeye carrying Mockingbird over the threshold of Avengers Mansion. Dick Ayers and John Tartaglione’s Sgt. Fury #112 story page 2 follows Nick Fury’s escape of tribal warriors. Gene Colan and Romeo Tanghal’s Wonder Woman #289 story page 4 is a rare example of Colan drawing the Amazon warrior as she battles Kraken. Chris Samnee’s Joker illustration portrays the Clown Prince of Crime crouched under a spotlight and picking his teeth with a knife.
