The Art of Anime and Everything Cool Auction at Heritage presents a variety of art and related collectibles covering a wide range of titles. It celebrates 40 years of Studio Ghibli with production cels and background from iconic films and shows like Princess Mononoke, Dragon Ball Z, and My Neighbor Totoro. The Everything Cool offerings showcase popular animated shows and TV specials like The Simpsons and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, plus art items from live-action productions, and more. The auction will be held on October 17-21, 2025.

The anime section is highlighted by a Princess Mononoke San production cel, Akira Kaneda production cel and animation drawing, Dragon Ball Z “Battle for the Universe Begins” Super Saiyan 2 Goku production cel and background, Sailor Moon Super Sailor Chibi Moon production cel with production background, and Cowboy Bebop “My Funny Valentine” Spike Spiegel production cel.

A Super Dimension Fortress Macross “Daedalus Attack” production cel and animation drawing, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust D production cel, Golden Boy “Animation is Fun” Kintaro Oe production cel and animation drawing, Kiki’s Delivery Service Kiki production cel and background, Detective Conan Conan Edogawa production cel with background, and Dragon Ball Z “Old Buu Emerges” Super Saiyan 3 Goku production background and animation drawing are offered.

This section also includes a My Neighbor Totoro Satsuki production cel with background, InuYasha Human InuYasha production cel, Van Gogh Museum x Pokémon “Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat” fine art giclée by Naoyo Kimura, Castle in the Sky Pazu and Sheeta production cel, and The End of Evangelion Winged mass-production Evas pan production cel.

The Art of Everything Cool lots are led by The Tracey Ullman Show “Simpsons Xmas” Bart, Homer, Lisa, and Maggie key master production cel setup, The Simpsons BANKSY original drawing from “MoneyBART,” King of the Hill “Hank’s Got the Willies” production cel signed by Pamela Adlon, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas blue-eyed Grinch production cel with Chuck Jones signature.

It includes a Peanuts It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Linus, Lucy, and Sally production cel with master production background and preliminary background overlay, Scooby Doo Where Are You rare vintage size comparison model sheet signed by the main cast, The Jetsons original George and Judy production cel from the opening sequence with master production background, and a Chuck Jones bronze statue by Paul Moore.

A Hare-Abian Nights rare Gossamer production cel with Bugs Bunny recreated cel on custom painted background, Chuck Jones – Bugs Bunny and Gossamer watercolor painting, Bewitched bumper cel and key master background plus “Darren and Sam” print, and The Beatles Yellow Submarine “When I’m 64” sequence of 10 concept model sheets by Heinz Edelmann are in the auction.

More highlights are a Return of the Jed pair of Luke Skywalker storyboard drawings by David Russell, The Powerpuff Girls world premiere toons pilot poster hung at Cartoon Network Productions, The Incredible Mr. Limpet production maquette sculpted by Chris Peterson for an unproduced remake, and Peanuts A Charlie Brown Christmas pair of layout drawings including “Tree Lot” pan.
