The light crispness in the air beginning to develop in the early mornings signifies the quickly approaching autumnal season, meaning the night of witches, goblins and ghouls is near. To start frightening yourself, prepare for the November 15, 2008 release of Geppi’s Entertainment’s Gemstone Publishing’s EC Archives Haunt of Fear Volume One.

With no limit to fear, Al Feldstein, Bill Gaines, and Harvey Kurtzman began telling “ghost stories” more than fifty years ago. Narrated by The Old Witch, Haunt of Fear is one of the creepiest EC horror stories in the archive. The spooktacular artwork was created by legendary comic artists Johnny Craig, Wally Wood, Jack Kamen, Graham Ingels, Jack Davis, Al Feldstein, and Harvey Kurtzman. Included in the first volume of Haunt of Fear are the first six issues; twenty-four stories which will have you jumping out of your seat!

If you are too eager to wait for Haunt of Fear to be released, try an original copy currently being auctioned by Geppi’s Entertainment’s Hake’s Americana. Being auctioned is the May-June 1950 issue of Haunt of Fear #15 CGC 7.5. Although the comic is labeled #15, it is actually the first issue and features the first appearance of The Old Witch. The cover is created by Johnny Craig and the stories include "The Wall," "House of Horror," "The Mad Magician," and "The Thing in the Swamp!"
