Hasbro Debuts Black Widow Tie-In Toys
Ahead of Marvel’s Phase Four film, Black Widow, the superheroine has finally received her own dedicated toy range. Hasbro and Nerf have teamed to release two wearable gadgets inspired by the upcoming film.
The Nerf Power Moves Marvel Black Widow Stinger Strike Nerf Dart-Launcher allows users to channel their inner Natasha Romanoff as they project darts at their enemies. This gauntlet is priced at $19.99 and comes with the blaster, three darts and an instruction manual.
For those with a more calculating battle approach, the Marvel Black Widow Taskmaster Stealth Sword and Shield always has a surprise for enemies. Defend yourself with the shield or slide the switch to attack your foes with a hidden sword. The shield also includes an elastic strap that fits easily on most wrists. Priced at $19.99, both the Taskmaster and Stinger Strike toys will hit shelves in spring 2020.
Along with these combat-ready toys, Black Widow is also getting a 6” deluxe Marvel Legends action figure. The figure, depicting Scarlett Johansson’s likeness, sees Romanoff decked out in her white suit alongside a number of accessories and a clear, flexible fight stand. Her accessories include pistols, gunshot effects, grappling hooks, and various hand gestures. Carrying a price of $29.99, this toy also arrives spring 2020.
Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow is set after the events of 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. The action thriller follows Romanoff as she confronts her past, including the Red Room, the Soviet brainwashing and the “blood in her ledger” from her days as an assassin. Starring Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, Florence Pugh as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei/The Red Guardian and Rachel Weisz as Melina, the film opens on May 1, 2020.
