We’ve enjoyed telling you about the great items offered in the current Hake’s Americana & Collectibles auction, but they say all good things must come to an end. With that in mind, Auction #198 will begin closing Thursday morning at 9 AM ET.

This event represents a change from the company’s traditional Tuesday-Thursday closings.

“The change for this particular action is due in part to the smaller number of items being offered, but if you check out the quality of the collectibles featured in this auction we’re confident that bidders will see no reduction in our usual quality,” said Alex Winter, General Manager of Hake’s. “In fact, the early activity has been very broad-based, so thus far I’d have to say that those who have checked out the offerings are finding what items which appeal to them.”

As is their custom, Hake’s has once again featured a wide array of rare and important, high-end, vintage pop culture artifacts including Disneyana, comic book, comic character, Popeye, Dick Tracy and gum card items among offerings.
