Hake’s Opens Fifth & Final Jeff Jacob Collection Auction
The venerable Jeff Jacob Collection contained many of the rarest, most sought-after action figures and toys from the Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Transformers, and other toy lines of the 1970s and ‘80s. Not only did Jacob build a comprehensive collection, he hunted for the highest graded examples he could find.
Hake’s Auctions began selling the Jacob collection in January 2025, setting multiple records for top tier examples. On June 9, 2026, Hake’s opened the fifth and final auction featuring Jacob’s collection, offering a curated group of over 500 lots. It has a heavy presence of vintage Star Wars, including early examples, rare pieces, and high grade figures, vehicles, and playsets.

The Early Bird Mail-Away Kit AFA 85 has Luke Skywalker (double-telescoping), Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and R2-D2 figures. The case contains the original white mailer box (with mailing address label), vacuform plastic tray with figures in sealed baggies, and a baggie with additional plastic pegs for posing figures. It also comes with a mini-catalog advertising the Star Wars figures and vehicles, and mail-away offer for the Early Bird Premium Collector Stand.
Top action figures in the auction include the Power of the Force Yak Face 92-back AFA 85 (Kenner Canada). It is the most desirable of the last 17 vintage issues figures and was only released in foreign outlets.
Action figure highlights continue with the Star Wars Boba Fett 21-back-B AFA 85 and a 21-back-C AFA 80. The Jawa 12-back-A AFA 75 has the original vinyl cape that was issued before the cape was switched to cloth. The Darth Vader 12-back-C AFA 85 is a high grade example with only three graded higher, per AFA’s Population Report.

The Star Wars Death Star Space Station playset AFA 80 (no LP logo box) has a working elevator and laser cannon. It features a trash compactor with moving wall, alien trash monster, opening light bridge, trap door, and rope swing to safety. At the time of cataloging, there were only nine examples graded by AFA with only two graded AFA 80 and just two graded higher.
The Empire Strikes Back Slave I AFA 85 (rebate sticker variety) has gravity operated wings and removable side, clicking cannons, opening rear ramp, movable seat, and simulated “frozen” Han Solo. This is one of 12 examples graded by AFA, with only two graded higher, per the current Population Report.

The Star Wars Radio Controlled Jawa Sandcrawler AFA 80 is a 16” long vehicle with elevator and opening side panel. The radio control unit can be used to move the Sandcrawler forward and in an arching backward motion. There are just eight examples graded higher than this one.
The Star Wars Land Speeder (special offer) AFA Qualified 80 with C-3PO and R2-D2 figures is the scarce “Special Offer” version. It contains the two action figures, both sealed in their original Hong Kong baggies, and they are encapsulated with the Kenner catalog above the box.
The fifth Jeff Jacob Collection Auction is open for bidding now through July 1, 2026, at hakes.com.
