Hake’s Auctions has opened an online exclusive sports auction with cards, autographs, postcards, pins, tickets, and more, featuring some of the greatest athletes from their sports. The 700-plus lot auction is open now through Thursday, May 27, 2021 at hakes.com.

Poised to take the auction’s top spot is a 1986 Fleer #57 Michael Jordan rookie card PSA 8 NM-MT, which is among the most important sports cards from the modern era. For years, this card has been making a slow and steady climb in value, but it has taken several leaps since 2020 when the Jordan documentary, The Last Dance, premiered. This card also comes from the landmark Fleer set from 1986-1987, which was the first set of pro basketball cards released in four years after Topps had ended their run of NBA cards in 1982.

One of the modern baseball greats is represented with a 1993 Upper Deck SP #279 Derek Jeter foil rookie card PSA 8 NM-MT. Several rookie cards were produced during Jeter’s first season, but this SP foil by Upper Deck is the most desirable and most valuable.

Moving to football, Hake’s is selling a 1981 #216 Topps Joe Montana rookie card CSG 9 Mint. Nicknamed “Joe Cool,” Montana led the San Francisco 49ers to the title of NFL “Team of the Decade” in the 1980s.

Joining Jordan in the conversation of greatest basketball players of all-time are a 2003-2004 Upper Deck Black Diamond #184 Lebron James rookie card CSG 9 Mint and a 1996-1997 E-X2000 #30 Kobe Bryant rookie card CSG 7.5 Near Mint+.

These pieces are joined by a multitude of other sports collectibles, open for bidding now through May 27.
