Bullseye is a very dangerous man. The Marvel villain is an assassin with exceptional aim who can hit the center of any target he chooses, and he can use nearly any object as a deadly projectile weapon. He was created by Marv Wolfman and John Romita Sr. in Daredevil #131 (March 1976), and has gone on to become one of Daredevil’s most vicious enemies, wreaking havoc and killing with impunity.

The dastardly villain has taken aim at Hake’s premier Auction #246 with the Bullseye first “3 view” concept character sketch original art by John Romita. The original pencil sketches include four different views of the character with front and back full body views, and head portraits that show the front and side. Additionally, the art includes some roughs of the bullseye design on his head and block-like pouch belt and gloves.

The pencil sketches are on three separate sheets of vellum that measure 3-1/4” x 7-1/4”. The two full body images have been taped to a larger sheet of unlined paper, and all three pieces are attached to an 11” x 17” artboard. Romita signed each piece of vellum and added a handwritten note to Bullseye’s back full body view.

“When it comes to sheer ruthlessness and gleeful mayhem, you’d be hard-pressed to come up with a character better suited to wreak havoc on the Marvel Universe. To this day, seeing Bullseye show up in a comic, you know it’s about to get personal. And bloody. Seeing him in his earliest incarnation as first sketched by his co-creator, Jazzy John Romita, this original art is akin to Bullseye’s aim. It can’t miss!” Hake’s Senior Consignment Manager Mike Bollinger added to the description.

Hake’s premier Auction #246 is open for bids at hakes.com through Tuesday and Wednesday, March 24-25, 2026.
