The weather is starting to cool down but things are still heating up at Hake’s Americana & Collectibles. The team at Hake’s is preparing for Auction #219 and they gave another preview of select items this week on their Facebook page.

The auction will include items from the Tesco Vee The Man From U.N.C.L.E. They are selling a button for the Sahara Al Amin Shriners 1921 fraternal gathering, carded Mego action figures including one of the Riddler, and a diverse selection of advertising buttons including one for Sucrene Dairy Feed.

Hake’s has a CGC-certified copy of Fantastic Four #52 featuring Black Panther, a vintage button featuring Boston’s own Splendid Splinter Ted Williams, a Japanese Batman movie poster for the 1966 film, and a baseball signed by New York and San Francisco Giants star Willie Mays.

An advertising button for Buster Brown Shoes, boxed 1930s English Tiddlywinks set, vintage Santa Claus buttons, and 1950s Superman Golden Muscle Building Set from the Franco Toscanini Collection are all offered.

Additional highlights posted this week are vintage 1940s Sensation Comics premium button depicting Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman #167 CGC 9.4 featuring cover and art by Ross Andru and Mike Esposito, a Ms. Pacman item from 1981, and scarce 1912 Woodrow Wilson “Man of the Hour” campaign button.
