
Hake’s Auction Offers Rare, Top Tier Action Figures
Hake’s premier Auction #245 is packed with 1,592 lots of Americana and pop culture collectibles. Star Wars toys, comic books, campaign items, Disneyana, original comic art, and many other categories are in the auction. Action figures represent one of the standout sections with rare, hard to find pieces from popular toy lines.

The Transformers toy line is well represented in the auction, starting with the Series 1 Optimus Prime AFA 85. The Autobot Commander is in the box with the registered logo and is considered among the most desirable Transformers toys. There are only two examples graded higher in the AFA Population Report.
Significant Transformers toys continue with the Series 2 Dinobot – Grimlock AFA 80 figure of the Dinobot Commander, Series 2 Shockwave AFA 80 (one of the most desirable from Series 2), and Series 3 Ultra Magnus AFA Uncirculated U90 with rubber tires and painted face.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles listings begin with the Scratch Series 6 54-back AFA 80. It was released later in Playmates’ original TMNT toy line, and Scratch is one of, if not the most coveted figures of the series. The card has been partially punched but the hang tab remains in place.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Technodrome Series 3 playset AFA 75 is “The gigantic double-decker mobile fortress” of Krang. It has three play areas, spring loaded brain scrambler, turtle mutation chamber, and more.

Superhero toys include the Incredible Hulk Van AFA 80 toy vehicle by Empire Toys, which is a rarely seen factory sealed example. It comes with over 20 accessories including two guns, fire extinguisher, microscope, and binoculars, and it features a roof hatch and sliding side door. It is the single highest graded example, according to the AFA Population Report.
The G.I. Joe Viper Cobra Command Attack Glider Series 2 vehicle AFA 50 is one of only two gliders made for the G.I. Joe toy line. It comes with a Viper Pilot that could attach to the glider, is in the box without the barcode, and has a peach file card. It is one of just three factory sealed examples graded by AFA.

Another exciting playset in the auction is the Masters of the Universe Castle Grayskull Series 1 12-back CAS 75 that contains the “Fortress of mystery and power for He-Man and his foes.” It has a “Jawbridge,” combat trainer, armory, weapons, trapdoor over the dungeon, working elevator, laser cannon, and more exciting features.
For the first time ever, Hake’s is offering the M.A.S.K.: Split Seconds Lasercommand Ratrang & Hornet Series 4 AFA 80. It comes with a Matt Tracker and Miles Mayhem figures and battery-operated feature that “Shoots real infrared beams.” It is one of only nine graded by AFA.
Hake’s Auction #245 is now open for bidding at hakes.com and will close on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 18-19, 2025.
