Golden Age Captain America Comics Run in ComicLink Auction
“We are thrilled to be bringing to auction a nearly complete run of one of the most desirable titles of the Golden Age of comics!” ComicLink founder and Managing Director Josh Nathanson said.
The near complete run of Golden Age Captain America Comics will be offered in the ComicLink Summer Featured Auction that begins on August 15, 2025. The Captain America Comics run includes #1 through the final Golden Age issue 78, and is only missing #28, #29, and #31.
The run begins with Captain America Comics #1 CGC 7.0, featuring the first appearance and origin story showing how frail Steve Rogers was given the Super Soldier formula to become America’s one man army. The first issue also contains the first appearances of Bucky Barnes and the Red Skull.
There are many other highlights in the run, including some single highest graded examples such as Captain America Comics #37 CGC 9.6 from the Crowley Pedigree and Captain America Comics #32 CGC 9.6 from the Chicago Pedigree collection. Both feature well known Alex Schomburg World War II covers.
Other highlights appear below, and there are many more in the run.
ComicLink is seeking comic books, original art, and other certified collectibles for future auctions. Potential consigners can email a prospective auction list to buysell@comiclink.com or call (617) 517-0062 (option 1). Upfront cash advances are being offered upon receipt.
There are also other ways to sell, including the ComicLink Exchange, private placement brokerage, and ComicLink even purchases outright if that is a preferred selling method.
ComicLink will set up at Fan Expo Chicago on August 15-17, 2025, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. ComicLink VP, Senior Consignment Director Douglas Gillock and Consignment Director Jon Signorelli will be accepting consignments at booth #719.
Gillock and Signorelli will be available to answer questions and accept consignments for upcoming ComicLink.com and CertifiedLink.com auctions. Categories include comic art, comic books, video games, sports and non-sports trading cards, action figures, VHS/Beta, coins, and memorabilia. Arrangements can be made to drop off larger consignments by emailing Gillock at dgillock@comiclink.com or Signorelli at jsignorelli@comiclink.com.
