Geppi’s Entertainment’s Hake’s Auction Closes Next Week!
Two very exciting events are coming up next week. First, it’s Labor Day! Celebrate your hard work on the federal day off, with a cookout, a picnic, and some sunshine. Then on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, Hake’s Americana, a division of Geppi’s Entertainment, will begin closing their auction #195.
Hake’s is offering another sale packed with impressive nostalgia. This auction includes more incredible items from the Craig Warren Batman Collection, the James Gallo Spider-Man Collection, and the Deak Stagemyer Disneyana Collection. The sale features puppets from Andy Levison, Tomart archives, buttons from Ed Potter’s collection, and Michael J. Stern Disneyana items. Within the sale you will find premium items from Fantasia, The Shadow, political posters, circus posters, baseball memorabilia, rings, comics, war collectibles, nutcrackers, and much more.
Remember, you can bid in three ways: by mail, by phone, or online. To bid by mail all you have to do is send a list of the items you want, including the lot numbers, and the amount you are willing to pay. Phone bidding will connect you directly with someone at Hake’s Americana, where you can find out what price the item is currently at, then place your bid. This method includes the callback feature, in which someone from Hake’s will call you if someone has raised the bid above yours. The third method is online where you can place bids, watch items, and maintain your account at hakes.com. Hake’s also makes bidding easier by leaving the window of opportunity open for you, so that if your bid is surpassed close to the time the item is closing, it will stay open longer, giving you a chance to counter the bid.
If you want to see the items you are bidding on in all three dimensions before making that final decision on how much you are willing to spend, come visit Hake’s Americana at the Geppi’s Entertainment Publishing & Auctions office in York, Pennsylvania. Call (717) 434-1600 to set up an appointment.
