On Wednesday, May 6, 2020, Comic Book News with Dan Shahin welcomed Geppi Family Entertainment Chairman & CEO Steve Geppi back to its livestream as he talked with direct market publishers, many of which are long-time partners with Diamond.

Publishers that appeared on the show included Ross Richie (BOOM! Studios), Mike Richardson (Dark Horse Comics), Dirk Wood (IDW Publishing), and Gary Groth (Fantagraphics Books).

During the livestream, Geppi talked about the importance of communicating with publishers and retailers. He stated that order numbers for new final order cut-off dates are stronger than Diamond was expecting. He also talked about a new program to help build camaraderie in the industry by getting back sales lost during the shutdown and bringing in new comic readers.
