Gen V Season 2 Releases Teaser Trailer, Release Date
Students are returning to Godolkin University for a school year of chaos and violence in Gen V season two. Prime Video released a teaser trailer for The Boys spinoff, catching up with the students as they adjust to life in Homelander’s America.
Godolkin University is now led by the new dean, Cipher (Hamish Linklater), who plans to make the students more powerful by using extreme tactics. The trailer begins with Marie (Jaz Sinclair) meeting the new dean and he quickly recognizes that she is not happy to be sitting across from him. It flashes back to the hospital where Marie, Jordon (Derek Luh and London Thor), and Emma (Lizze Broadway) were being held and their surprising release from the facility.
Cipher gives a presentation to the school, revealing his opinions on Supes-human interactions. As he explains his plans to push students’ powers, the young Supes are forced to fight a much larger, armed opponent. Students must also fight each other in boxing ring style events, leading some to want to revolt. As the school goes through these new extreme educational tactics, Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas) vows to do whatever it takes to learn what happened to his son, Andre.
Season two also stars Maddie Phillips, Asa Germann, and Alexander Calvert. Michele Fazekas serves as showrunner and executive producer, The Boys TV series creator Eric Kripke, and The Boys comic creators Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson are also executive producers.
Gen V will debut the first three episodes of season two on September 17, then one new episode will premiere on Prime Video each week. The season finale will drop on October 22.
