Geppi’s Entertainment Museum (GEM) in downtown Baltimore, Maryland is
currently alive with professional carpenters, electricians and painters. Every
place you go in the 16,000 sq. ft. facility is being worked on and nearing
completion. It won’t be long now before the actual exhibition furniture starts
arriving and taking its place. Once the fixtures are in, the next thing will be
the museum items themselves!

Many of these pop culture items will evoke a
memory, feeling or understanding that may have determined the way we are as
individuals today. These historical items are items that we may have had at
sometime in our lives and will remind us that we would like to own them again.
Thus, these items may bring out the collector in us. This museum will have us
recall an era of interest, a company that represented products we used, people
we admired, characters that taught us well, ideas that helped us make decisions
and in general gave us an opportunity to find out further who we are as
individuals and how to we relate to the rest of society.
