Games Done Quick Raises $400K for Relief Fund
Games Done Quick held a coronavirus relief event that raised over $400,000 during the weekend of April 17-19, 2020. The money is going to Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization that will use the funds for COVID-19 relief efforts by providing communities with personal protective equipment.
The event, which was titled Corona Relief Done Quick, started on Friday with a Donkey Kong Country speed run, then continued with Halo: Combat Evolved, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, Super Mario Odyssey, and ended on Sunday with Kingdome Hearts 2 Final Mix.
The next Games Done Quick event will be held in the summer on August 16-23 in Bloomington, Minnesota.
