As the result of his Best Actor Academy Award, Jamie Foxx is probably
swamped with scripts to consider. He’s already agreed to play the new
millenium’s Ricardo Tubbs to Colin Farrell’s Sonny Crockett. And in another
adaptation twist, Neal Moritz, producer of an upcoming film based on Marvel’s
Luke Cage, wants Foxx to take on the lead role.

John Singleton has been
attached to the Columbia Pictures project for months. But given Foxx’s
increasingly busy scheduled (according to imdb.com, he’s attached to four
features through 2007), Moritz isn’t certain Foxx will be available for Luke
Cage.
