Though the summer blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past will release on October 14, 2014 on Blu-Ray and DVD, fans may end up holding off until the just-announced “Rogue Cut” of the film releases in 2015.

Though the fan-favorite member of the X-Men appeared in a brief cameo at the end of the film, Anna Paquin’s Rogue—which appeared in the first three X-Men films—was otherwise missing.

Though several scenes with Paquin were filmed, they were cut before the film’s release. The “Rogue Cut” will add in her storyline, plus scenes featuring other characters, for a total of more than 10 minutes of extra footage. In a report by Variety, Days of Future Past’s writer and producer Simon Kinberg said that this additional footage is being included to give fans “the fullest picture of the film.” He went on to say, “Every movie has scenes that are cut out, but not every movie has scenes cut out with such a beloved character.”

This extended cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past is currently slated to release in the first half of 2015.
