First Trailer for Connected Debuts Online
Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s latest animated feature, Connected, has seen its first trailer debut online, highlighting any and all interpretations of the word “connected” itself over the course of just a couple of minutes. Lord and Miller have previously collaborated on such successful films such as The Lego Movie and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the latter of which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
Connected follows the Mitchell family as they come together for a family road trip to escort the oldest daughter, Katie, to her freshman year of college. However, over the course of the trip, a technological uprising happens, with robots, cell phones, and even smart toilets striking back against the humans that created them. The film will feature the voice talents of Abbi Jacobson, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Mike Rianda, Eric Andre, and Olivia Colman.
The film is being directed by Mike Rianda in his feature directorial debut, and will arrive in theaters on September 18, 2020.
