Rogue’s debut, a Bruce Timm Doctor Strange illustration, and a sealed copy of Arkanoid for NES are featuring lots in Heritage’s weekly auctions. The Comic Books Select Auction ends on Sunday through Tuesday, July 16-18, 2023, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction closes on Tuesday, July 18, and the Comic Art & Animation Auction concludes on Wednesday, July 19.

The comic book auction is led by Avengers Annual #10 CGC 8.5, marking Rogue’s dramatic first appearance as a member of the Brotherhood of Evil as she drains Carol Danvers’ powers and memories. MAD #1 CGC 7.0 sees EC greats Harvey Kurtzman, Wally Wood, Jack Davis, John Severin, and Bill Elder satirizing popular horror, sci-fi, crime, and western comics.

Heritage is offering a unique piece in the original art auction with a Doctor Strange illustration by Bruce Timm, the artist and animator well known for his work on Batman: The Animated Series. Ryan Sook’s Superman and Lex Luthor illustrations provide viewers with dramatic partial profiles of both iconic characters.

One of the biggest draws in Heritage’s video game auction is an ungraded, sealed copy of Arkanoid, one of the most popular games in the ball and paddle block breaker genre. The Fortified Zone WATA 9.6 A sealed for Game Boy is the higher graded copy of just two on Wata’s March 2023 population report.
