First Daredevil, Now Ghost Rider

Johnson is getting ready to begin work on another Marvel Comics property.
Ghost Rider is set to star comics aficionado Nicolas Cage, and is
to begin shooting by the end of the year.
The film isn’t going to take
the Calico Kid-turned-Ghost Rider (see Scoop 3-7-03 for more) or the
Ghost Rider that was Marvel’s Western gunfighter of the late ’60s as its star,
however. This will be the story of Marvel’s Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze, the
motorcycle stuntman who finds himself in cahoots with demon spirits, whom he
must fight to save his true love. This is the Ghost Rider that, with his flaming
skull of a head, first debuted in Marvel Spotlight #5 in 1972.
